Like the Manor house the cottages are beautifully appointed overlooking the Lagan towpath and the adjoining equestrian grounds and onto Station Road. The tow path (part of the Millennium Cycling path) is enjoyed by both walkers and cyclists. Fishing and bird watching is also a popular pursuit on the canal banks.

Our Station Road entrance to our complex is a 2 minute minute walk from the Manor House, two minutes walk from Moira Railway station and 5 minutes walk to the friendly Tannery Pub and restaurant the other side of the railway line.

A fifteen minute walk brings you to the award winning Georgian village of Moira. Here you can find a range of antique shops, boutiques, supermarkets and sample the delicious food from some of the fine restaurants and bars or busy cafes.

“A feeling of home” December 2016

This was going to be a difficult Christmas for us, following the sudden death of my mother in July. To our family, she is Mrs Christmas and for more than the past 20 years, my children have only known Christmas at her home in Ballinderry. However, basing ourselves at Ballycanal Cottages could not have been better. We carried out our traditional Christmas, just as Mum would have wanted and were able to host our family and friends in the spacious, well equipped kitchen/dining area. It felt like home, complete with a log burning stove and Christmas tree. The accommodation upstairs was spacious and modern - we loved having two en-suite bedrooms. The cottages are perfectly situated right by Moira train station and are a short walk from Moira village itself. For nature lovers, it is next to the most scenic canal walk and for foodies,The Tannery- a good foodie pub is just along the road. The family loved the cottage and would love to have stayed on longer. We will definitely be booking again.
